Top Youtube Channels for Every Yoga Level

So, your local yoga studio is closed or maybe you're just looking to start some yoga this quarantine. Whether you're a beginner or a more advanced yogi, we've got you covered! We've followed a few of these yogi youtube instructors and categorized them based on difficulty.

 Beginner

These videos are great for you, if you are just starting with yoga. These videos are at a slower speed and really focus on understanding basic yoga terms (i.e. downward dog, mountain pose, warrior I & II). If you're not sure what we're talking about, these videos will be a great introduction for you.

Yoga with Adriene

Yoga with Adriene has amazing resources if you're starting with yoga. Adriene's flows are super detailed and during her videos she'll give pointers for things you should watch out for in your alignment. Her videos generally last around the 20-30 minute mark.

Yoga with Kassandra

Kassandra is great for beginners or advanced yogis looking for a slower moving practice. We also love doing her workouts in the morning when your body is just waking up. Her videos generally last around the 10-30 minute mark.

Intermediate

Alright, so now that you've got the basics down or maybe you're just looking for something with a faster pace and with more pose variations, these videos are perfect for you.

Cat Meffan

Cat Meffan is a yoga instructor based from the UK and we love following her because her descriptions during yoga are perfectly detailed that we don't need to look at the videos to follow. Cat's videos are generally around the 30 minute mark, but she does have some amazing 1-hour follows that we love to repeat!

Allie - The Journey Junkie

Allie's videos are great for once you've nailed the basics and you're looking to learn some new poses. Her videos are nicely titled so you can find exactly what you're looking for! So, if you wanna learn how to headstand, do an 8 angle pose, or a chin stand, definitely checkout her channel! Allie has video tutorials ranging from 5-10min and flows ranging from 30-45 minutes.

Advanced

Since yoga is a practice that depends on how much you put in, it is hard to say where the difference lies between an intermediate practice versus an advanced practice. All we can say is after finishing these videos, we were extremely happy that we were using our yogiterre mat because we were covered in sweat!

Yoga Dose

This channel is specifically focused on longer flows (about the 1 hour mark), and some are quite challenging. They cover topics from pincha, to handstands and everything in between. Some of the moves were so hard, we couldn't even do all of them, but this makes for the perfect videos for us to try again!

Nicole Wild

We love following Nicole Wild's flows albeit some of her flows intimidated us at first. She tries to plan her flows around a peak pose; we learn SO much from her. Her flows are also fairly long so that you have the proper time to warm up and cooldown (around the 1 hour mark).
